Small Basic Prime search function (when editing)
#1
Hi Litdev,

When entering the search string you can copy text into the field using CTRL V (paste).
When you press the right mouse button, a menu for the ribbon appears and no option to insert the clipboard.
Is it possible to activate the function for people who don't work with shortcuts that much?

Thank you

Hi,

Uploaded a version where this should have copy/paste contect menu for this textbox.

I normally use Ctrl+F for find after selecting something, which does the paste directly - if nothing selected, sets the find textbox as active for typing.

Thanks for quickly creating the paste function.
The CTRL+F method with automatic copying of the selection is probably the most effective way.
However, sometimes shortcuts are not possible or the user only wants to use the mouse.
I was thinking of a context menu like in this forum text.
For this I miss the copy function in the context menu of the editor after marking the selection. I only see an HTML or RTF selection(not text). I guess I always used CTRL+C.

I have 3 more comments of a cosmetic nature:

1) The search text field also contains the Copy icon, which is actually not necessary here. A text menu like in the output window (delete) would actually be enough for inserting.

2) The invalid functions in the context menu are not visible. Maybe they should be seen a little. I couldn't do it with IDE Colors.

3) If the context menu is clicked outside of the current selection, it is canceled.

Thanks for the comments,

Not sure I understand the top comment, Copy is there for me.

1] I agree Delete is nore useful than Copy for the find textbox.
2] I have no idea why invalid functions are not shown for you - gray for me - will look into it - does it happen if you use default IDE colors.
3] Not sure what you mean here, context menu closes when I click outside it - this is normal context menu behavior?

EDIT

Item 2 - this looks like an issue with localisation in some languages and will affect the russian and hindi users too!

Updated SB-Prime again for this. Smile

Please mention funny stuff that doesn't work, its usually an easy fix I have fun doing and its often stuff I don't use like German interface or context menu paste.

Thumbs Up
Great, it works

1) The context menu of the Find window looks good
2) The context menu in the editor appears in its full glory
3) You're right - I can't dither around so much and have to stay within the selection
