I read a post in this group:

If you have great game ideas, why not try to turn the great game ideas into a cool game? In addition, it should be a good way to publicise Small Basic!

If you folk want to join forces for this, I'm very happy to help.  We can combine our different experience and skills.  I like writing game engines, but not so good at game design, graphics, sound effects etc.

So if there are any good ideas and people prepared to contribute (ideas, testing, graphics, sounds as well as coding), then we can have a go.  A good game idea that is reasonably doable is the biggest challenge.

Hi all.   Shy
O-o-o yeah. Coming up with something new now is the most difficult task.
I have already lost hope of seeing any film that has a plot unknown to me.
The same problem exists for games.
That is why I reserved for myself the pleasure that the process of programming brings me. The end result doesn't matter (the Shaolin monks think the same way).

Many years ago, when the graphics capabilities of computers were just mastering three-dimensional images, an interesting message flashed on a television news program.
That message talked about a simulation program that gave the user the opportunity to be a genetic scientist.
I don't know the details, but the player had the ability to assemble DNA molecules from fantastic plants.
Then, with one click of the mouse, the player could allow the created plant to grow directly on the computer screen.

Believe me, the spectacle was mesmerizing.  Rolleyes
It's strange, but I haven't heard about such a program again over the past years.

The themes will be 3 chosen from:

1. Machines  2. Unstable  3. Four Colours  4. Combine  5. Edges  6. 120 Seconds

Starting end of June for 1 month - so we need to have some idea by then - doesn't have to be completely original, a variant/clone that covers the brief would do.

Also read the Ranking (Gameplay, Creativity, Graphics/Sound, On-theme) and Regulations (we need no-copyright or original media).

Have alook at some of the previous year's games too, which are published on the itch.io (Jam) site.

So, lets have any ideas to get us thinking...

Wow. I am surprised by so many feedbacks in this forum. Good job! I am always busy but I will still be able to play or test the finished entry made by all of you. Yeah!

This entry(the game) may become a very interesting community project. Yeah. Moreover, Itch looks like a good social media where the young generation likes to visit. The finished game may finally attract some young people to join this forum and become Small Basic users. So wonderful. Though there are only four of us discuss in this forum thread, other forum members may join this discussion later. This game project will be very meaningful.

There are six themes but now we don't know the final three themes. Thus it is difficult for us to start some preparation work. The most interesting theme may be "120 Seconds". However, "4 Colors" also looks interesting.
