I don't really know why Small Basic has failed, but apart from you guys it is pretty much is dead as far as I can see. I read many people rant about programming not fitting with the instant gratification world we live in. You-tube is full of 'follow me click along how to program' rubbish. Folk want to program, then discover they cannot write an epic program on their first day and give up. Maybe its true...
I know this is all sad.
But, among billions of people, there are definitely a few people for whom Small Basic can change the fate of their entire life.
We have already created an excellent library for them and an excellent Code Editor with aliases that allow you to write code in their native language.
And I feel that the most important and most ingenious update of the Editor is yet to come.
I suggest waiting another 2 years before leaving Small Basic for good.
I feel like some bright idea is coming.
We must help smart children become smart adults.
Otherwise, stupid people will simply destroy Life on our planet.
