AB,

Sorry I should have remembered I added a method to control text alignment and it is indeed in the beta version of LD extension available on website - I just uploaded it now.  I also improved a couple bits, MXLX753.000.

Thank you for mentioning!

Feedback on these games, this and Frog Hopper CGHR877.000 welcome.

I notice that someone used Small Basic to make entries in several jams in the past.

https://itch.io/jam/jam-for-all-basic-di...te/1422367
https://itch.io/jam/jam-for-all-basic-di...te/2449200

These games are quite simple. I believe that the entrant did not spend too much time on making these entries. Am I right?

I am surprised by the 3D capabilities of Small Basic that SB received from the LD extension.  Shy
It seems to me that if I see a few more such expressive examples of 3D applications, then I will also have different ideas so that I can test myself in 3D programming.  Rolleyes

Wow....you have uploaded several nice games.(https://litdev-uk.itch.io/) Well done!!! It is a very good beginning.Yeah.

You can write a detailed description of LitDev Extension on this page( https://litdev-uk.itch.io/). Just lilke:

https://playbasic.itch.io/
https://bbcbasic.itch.io/

Though LitDev Extension is a tool, Itch is suitable for LitDev Extension. Just like:

https://raysan5.itch.io/raylib

By the way, many BASIC authors put their BASIC languages on Itch. For example,

https://spotlessmind1975.itch.io/ugbasic-ide
https://thegamecreators.itch.io/appgamekit-studio
https://tonywang.itch.io/gbbasic-alpha
https://blitzresearch.itch.io/blitzplus

eddylo,

I put some of the more complete games there - most stuff I do is just for fun and once I know how to do it, they don't usually get finished.

Everything I have with API and other documentation for LD extension, samples etc I have on https://litdev.uk and of course here is the place to ask any questions.

Maybe, we get a little interest from Jam - I intend to put the frog and orb ones in for 'unstable' and 'edge'.

I will add a bit on itch.io profile page about SB and LD extension.

See https://itch.io/jam/jam-for-all-basic-dialects-6 for info on the Jam, when it starts etc.

I plan to put a couple entries in from some I uploaded to https://litdev-uk.itch.io

Still trying to find if there are any people interested in programming out there - I have given up on Facebook, seeing if indi games community maybe more likely.
I don't really know why Small Basic has failed, but apart from you guys it is pretty much is dead as far as I can see Huh .  I read many people rant about programming not fitting with the instant gratification world we live in.  You-tube is full of 'follow me click along how to program' rubbish.  Folk want to program, then discover they cannot write an epic program on their first day and give up.  Maybe its true...

I know this is all sad.
But, among billions of people, there are definitely a few people for whom Small Basic can change the fate of their entire life.
We have already created an excellent library for them and an excellent Code Editor with aliases that allow you to write code in their native language.
And I feel that the most important and most ingenious update of the Editor is yet to come.
I suggest waiting another 2 years before leaving Small Basic for good.

I feel like some bright idea is coming.  Rolleyes
